I had 5 implants and one surgical extraction last year and I am ecstatic with the results I have had. I waited about a decade to get these implants because I was so scared. Dr. Widner made the experience so wonderful that I feel silly waiting so long! In fact, by waiting so long, I had significant bone loss in my jaw! I am going in tomorrow morning for another implant with Dr. Widner where I used to have a bridge. I highly recommend Dr. Widner to anyone considering dental implants!

About Front Desk: Everyone I have spoken to and dealt with at both the Austin and Bastrop locations have gone above and beyond to help me.

I was absolutely terrified of getting my wisdom teeth removed. On the day of my surgery, Dr. Widner and his team of nurses were very reassuring and kind. My surgery seems to have gone extremely well. I was able to head back to college and begin classes about 5 days later. I really appreciated that Dr. Widner personally called me the night after my surgery to see how I was doing and answer any questions I had. The whole experience, while not necessarily the most pleasant one of my life, was definitely not like any of the wisdom teeth horror stories I have heard. I felt very well taken care of and would recommend Dr. Widner to anyone who needs their wisdom teeth removed.

About Front Desk: They were helpful and answered all my questions without hassle.

Let’s face it, getting oral surgery isn’t anyone’s idea of a good time. However, Dr. Widner and his Austin staff make the experience as comfortable and effortless as possible. Dr. Widner is very educated, informative, patient and works with a gentle hand. Follow up is obviously a pivotal component. Dr. W. takes it across the goal line by providing his personal cell number and a “see how you are doing” call a few hours after your procedure. (PS – he even returns calls on the weekend:)). The Austin staff couldn’t be more warm and compassionate, from the front desk, insurance assistance and flexible appointment scheduling all the way to the surgical assistants. Miss J. and Rae rock! Dr. Widner’s office is a seamless operation. (No pun intended). That said, if you have to do it, just do it with them.

I really can't describe how my case was mishandled. This guy may be a dental god in most eyes, but in mine he ruined my life. After jaw surgery, which had to be done twice, my life has never been the same. After 3 yrs. I still have problems eating, talking and conducting everyday business. When he first saw me he never got closer than 5 ft. from me and suggested I had fibromyalgia in my jaws or it was all in my mind. My pain level was a constant he told me I had no pain and you are not getting pain meds (i never ask)and this guy came highly recommended. I felt defeated after I left his office, then 3 months later he had his office staff call me and plead with me to come in for another consult. I ask why? You didn't care 3 months ago why now? She said she didnt know but to please come in. Like a fool i went. Then the rodeo started. Worst decision of my life. After 1 yr. of insurance wrangling he decided on surgery. Epic Fail! I am now on total disability and pain meds for the rest of my life. Thanks for nothing. He is cold, arrogant with no compassion at all. He's only happy that my insurance paid him a boat load of money to rehab his new office space. I will never ever forgive this guy for what he has done to me and my family.

About Front Desk: Heather, cold, arrogant know it all. Who knows nothing about insurance, very power driven and unapologetic for her lack of knowledge, makes you feel very stupid

Quick background. I have terrible TMD. For the last several years I have eaten with children's spoons. Eating very soft food and very small bites. Each bite I was in pain. Even having long conversations caused me great pain and headaches. Then I found Dr. Widner. After a consultation and a lengthy explanation and all my questions answered. Dr. Widner and I decided that I needed jaw surgery. The day of the procedure I was nervous and Dr. Widner and his staff were calming and more than understanding. After the procedure, I went home and slept....then I opened my mouth and ate actual food! I had a taco last night! I know that might sound trival, but eating "normal" food without pain is life changing. (I am so looking forward to pizza!) If you are ever in the need of oral surgery or an oral surgeon, PLEASE call Dr. Widner. He and his staff are simply the best. I would trust my family and my children in his hands.

I cannot believe I almost didn't go through with having orthognathic surgery. Dr. Widner and his staff made my entire experience free of stress and anxiety. Everything was explained to me fully before treatment, during recovery and afterwards. I would recommend this office to anyone who is wanting to improve their overall smile. I wish everyone could see my before pictures and after. I had such a favorable results on my jaw surgery that I went back to Dr Widner's office for chin surgery to complete my overall profile. Because I travel for work, it was hard for me to make regular follow up appointments in advance but the staff here worked with my schedule and were very flexible when I needed to see them. This office is the best in Austin hands down!
